Financial Aid
March 4, 2010
Dear Parent(s):
We are working diligently on the budget process and we plan to present our Draft Budget for school year 2010/2011 to our Board of Directors for approval on March 22, 2010. We anticipate notification to our families of the 2010/2011 Family Commitment towards Tuition Cost and Re-enrollment process by the end of March 2010.
In the mean time, we ask your cooperation in completing the financial assistance process. FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the independent financial need analysis for St. Augustine Catholic High School (SACHS) for the upcoming 2010-2011 school year. All families receive a financial aid subsidy to fill the gap between actual per pupil cost and the family commitment towards tuition cost. Some families also need assistance to meet the family commitment amount. Therefore, ALL families re-enrolling at SACHS and ALL incoming families are required to enroll with FACTS.
Please apply on-line at www.factstuitionaid.com. The cost to enroll with FACTS is being absorbed by SACHS. Once your on-line application is completed, you will need to submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment in a timely manner:
1. Copies of your most recent tax forms including all supporting tax schedules. 2. Copies of your 2009 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse. 3. Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF.
If you have questions or concerns about the application process, you may speak with a FACTS Customer Care Representative at 1-866-315-9262.
Corporate CTSO financial aid scholarships are available to students who meet both of the following criteria. Those families wishing to apply must submit a separate financial aid review to FAIR. Application packets are available from the school finance office. Families must pay the application fee of $12 directly to FAIR. 1. Full-time student who attended a public or charter school for the first 100 days prior to transferring to SACHS. 2. Students whose family income does not exceed 185% of the income limit to qualify for a federal reduced price lunch program (i.e.: $75,466 for a family of four – school year 2009/2010).
The Financial Aid Deadline is April 9, 2010. The overall amount of financial aid, both Individual and Corporate CTSO dollars, is limited. There may not be monies available for applications received after this deadline. If you have any questions, please contact Maryann McNeill in the Business Office.
