How It Works
The Catholic Tuition Support Organization (CTSO) helps Catholic Schools in Southern Arizona use state tax credits for scholarship funds so that their neediest students can attend a Catholic school of their choice.
Your donation to CTSO is used solely for student scholarships, based entirely on financial need, as determined by a third party.
Through CTSO, married couples filing jointly may direct up to $2,173 and individuals can file up to $1,087. You can even direct your tax liability to more than one school. For example, an individual could designate $250 to St. A's and $250 to another Catholic school of their choice.
By contributing to CTSO and designating St. Augustine Catholic High School, rest assured your tax dollars are supporting a quality academic Catholic education, right here in Southern Arizona.
Check with your employer to see if they will match your donation.
How will your contribution help St. A's students? By designating your CTSO contribution to St. Augustine Catholic High School, you are helping support more than 80% of our students who would not otherwise be able to afford a quality, Catholic education.
How will this contribution benefit you? Your CTSO contribution is a dollar-for-dollar tax credit for your Arizona State Income Tax, meaning you receive each and every dollar back when you file your State Income Tax Return. This is the same money you would pay as part of your state tax liability, thus not costing you any additional out of pocket funds. This provides you, the taxpayer, a say in where your actual tax dollars are being spent!
C-Corp business owners, insurance companies and S-Corporations can also support Catholic schools through Arizona Corporate Tax Credit. Corporate donations provide scholarships to children of low to moderate income families.
